Our Story

Storybook Kitchen was the inspiration of Cynthia Giroux. She grew up learning to cook from her grandmother and entertaining from her parents. Her whole family enjoys cooking and entertaining and doing it with flair.

After years as a teacher and college instructor, Cynthia decided to combine her love of books with her passion for cooking into cooking classes for kids using books to inspire little cooks, just as she has done with her twin granddaughters.

"I read with my own children every day and we cooked together often, even having 'baking days' when they could invite their friends over to bake and decorate cookies at our house. Now I'm enjoying making new memories in the kitchen with my own grandchildren."

Storybook Kitchen offers that same opportunity for parents, grandparents and children to come enjoy reading good books, and having fun learning to cook together in the kitchen.

Having started Storybook Kitchen in the "Valley of the Sun" (Phoenix, AZ), Storybook Kitchen has launched a national expansion program through our unique franchising opportunity. So, look for our classes in a town near you and let books inspire your cooking with us at Storybook Kitchen.
